Challenge

Create a comprehensive visual identity for a record store that appeals to a new generation of analog music lovers. The packaging, logo, typography, tone and overall concept should be thoughtfully designed to connect with the target audience in a unique and memorable way. In addition, develop an advertising campaign that features one of the store’s products and builds upon the brand’s distinct voice. Finally, design an app that allows users to browse and shop for records and other products currently in stock at Stash House.

Execution

A unique concept for the store was developed: Stash House acts as a black market for stolen records, operated by a thieving raccoon that serves as the brand's mascot. This concept defined the approach to every aspect of the project. An original character was designed, and a bold illustrative style referencing comics and street art was created to support them. This bold style was then paired with a noir, dramatic approach to the brand's packaging and creative direction, creating a strong contrast that is sure to stand out across all deliverables.
