Challenge
Design a logo for Bloodhound Bourbon and packaging for a new product: Bloodhound Bourbon Pepper Sauce. The tone of the brand and its packaging should be sophisticated and refined, with a rough edge. Emphasize small-batch craftsmanship, and ensure the packaging design stands in stark contrast to typical bold and over-designed hot sauce packaging.
Execution
A wordmark that pairs a sophisticated script with a biting sans-serif typeface was created to achieve the refined/rough contrast the brand was after. The packaging for the pepper sauce draws inspiration from industrial and grid-based design. Featuring primarily typography supported by thin rules and minimal color palette, the bottles are sure to stand out on shelves amidst the typical over-designed hot sauce packaging.
